Roseanne absolutely kicks butt.  I wasn't brought up in America, but many aspects of my childhood were reflected in the way that Dan and Roseanne brought up their kids on that show.  In particular:  Humour, a sense of priorities and values, and a very close knit family, despite our sarcastic tendencies.
